Målerås | Cast Crystal Painted Barn Owl Sculpture:

A cut glass painted owl sculpture with a stunning organic rock-like shape, handmade and hand-painted in Sweden. The original design is by artist Mats Jonasson and each sculpture features his signature on the bottom. 

Each one is cast from a mould using a specially formulated crystal that picks up reflected light, giving it the unique sparkle and clarity. It is then sandblasted, engraved, and the sculpture is polished throughout the creation process to ensure the highest quality gloss. To finish it off the artist's signature is added to the base.

To preserve the beautiful finish of the piece, do not use strong cleaning agents and keep it away from strong direct sunlight.

Who are Målerås?

Målerås is the Kingdom of Crystal in Sweden, where from the lighting of the first forge in 1890, generations have passed down the knowledge, skills and pride that produce the finest crystal pieces. Since 1981 Mats Jonasson has gathered many skilled people around him to breathe new and continued life into this business that has seen many hard years since it was first established, and the efforts of all have solidified Målerås as one of the best successes in Swedish glass history. The making of these beautiful sculptures and art pieces has become the characteristic work of the company, growing the business from just 15 employees to 50.
